many women who fall head over heals for handsome actors many times have nothing better to do... some women use the terminology wrong... many times i've caught myself saying 'i love Brad Pitt' well, it's not the man i love... but the charm he builds with the characters he portrais... IMO he is a good actor, and i enjoy watching how he develops his characters... another one i've said i love is Johnny Depp, an actor out side the box... the characters he portrais are amazing and he always give them a special charm... but am i in love with these actors... no, what i love is their ability to bring to life the characters they portray...

so no, most women are not stupid... it's men who don't understand our terminology...
so, kahlan had very little to go on... so i'd assume she fell in love with richard's passion for life and his one aim goal -- to save the woman he loves...
